 Once in a while the artisans working in Angie Olami’s studio come across a shard of Ancient Roman Glass that is just too big and gorgeous to cut up and use in the general collections. When this happens, we put it aside to use in a one of a kind piece. The quality and range of color in these shards is superior, and also extraordinarily inspiring and unusual. A bezel is designed to compliment the shard -- hand worked entirely to rise and fall as the unique shard curves and varies in thickness. Then exotic, whimsical, and compelling stones or pearls are hand selected to compliment the colors and feel of the piece. Materials have included diamonds in the rough, large kyanites and labradorites, rubies, druzy quartz, ammonites, Peruvian opals, lab-made newly invented organic gemstones, and many other unusual materials. Each piece is made only once and sold in the finest galleries in the United States, Europe, Japan, Tasmania (!), and Israel.
